BREAKDOWN:

The Booth Brothers are without a doubt one of Southern Gospel/Christian Music’s most beloved groups. Their unmistakable sound and style has delighted fans all over the world for years. The aptly titled Generations is an album that honors the rich history of this group in such a special way. Michael and Ronnie Booth pay tribute to the heroes the father Ron Sr and late Uncle Charles Booth in spectacular fashion with this record. Through today’s incredible recording technology, two generations of Booth Brothers are brought together for the first time. Michael and Ronnie traveled and recorded with their father, but never got the chance to record with their Uncle Charles. This special recording features restored vocals from both Ron Sr. and Charles from their time with the Rebels Quartet joined with new vocals from Michael and Ronnie set to new tracks.

This unique album opens with a groovy rendition of the classic “In The Sweet Forever” featuring Ron Sr. on the step out lines. Ron Sr.’s crystal clear tenor shines on the beautiful ballad “Now I Have Everything.” This incredible song reminds us that Jesus saved us and gave us Eternal Life and that’s everything we could ever need. Charles Booth takes the lead on the mid-tempo tune “He Showed His Love To Me,” a beautiful telling of Christ’s ultimate Sacrifice. Michael Booth’s unmistakable tenor is featured on a groovy arrangement of the Andrae Crouch classic “Through It All.” Ronnie and Ron Sr. take the verse of the tender ballad “All Of Me.” This beautiful song simply says: I give God all of me not just a part but the whole. I surrender. I believe. Help my unbelief. “His Hands” features Charles and tells of the Mercy He gives us. We have all been lost in the shuffle and obeyed the wrong commands. We must go back to the chapel in search of His Hands. Ronnie and Michael are featured on the classic “King Jesus.” This fun, up-tempo tune looks forward to the day when Jesus will return! Ronnie takes the lead on the mid-tempo tune “Release Me (From My Sin).” This beautiful song simply asks Christ to cleanse us from our sins. Please release me from sin to sin no more! Send Your Spirit from above and teach me Your Ways of Love. Legendary Oak Ridge Boys bass singer Richard Sterban joins the group on the classic “What A Lovely Name.” His smooth, rich bass is always a fantastic addition to any vocal lineup. “To Remember Calvary” is a beautiful, tender ballad, featuring Ron Sr., that simply says: Draw me nearer to Thy side. When I stumble, help me to be humble and more like Thee. Let my heart be broken when I remember the price You paid for me. Remind me of Your Ultimate Sacrifice for me. It is best for me to remember Calvary. This incredible album closes with a stellar rendition of the classic “Lead Me To That Rock,” featuring fantastic guest bass vocals from Pat Barker of the Guardians.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
