BREAKDOWN:

Master’s Voice is one of the most dynamic quartets on the road today. Their ability to blend classic Southern Gospel and more contemporary styles is simply fantastic. This exciting group is back with a new project that is sure to be a blessing to all who listen. Immersed features twelve incredible songs delivered by the current lineup: tenor Ricky Capps, lead T.J. Evans, bass Jerry Pilgrim, and new baritone Nathan Terry (who joined the group in 2023).

The album opens with a groovy mid-tempo tune entitled “On My Way.” T.J. Evans takes the lead on this well crafted lyric that simply says: My sins were washed away when I called on His Name. I’m saved and now I’m on my way. “Heaven To Me” is a beautiful ballad that features new baritone Nathan Terry. This powerful track looks to Heaven and the day we meet Jesus face to face. “As long as I am where Jesus is, that’s Heaven to me.” Jerry Pilgrim and T.J. Evans are both featured on the cleverly titled tune “Weapon Of Mass Instruction.” This fun, mid-tempo song tells of the spiritual battle we face as believers. When Satan sends arrows our way, the Bible is my source of protection. It is the infallible Holy Word and a weapon of mass instruction of the Lord. Ricky Capps takes the lead on an incredibly moving ballad entitled “Perfect Way To Start.” This powerful song tells of parents losing a newborn baby and how Jesus has the child in His Arms. Heaven is the perfect way to start. This is one of the best songs this group has ever recorded in my opinion. “Preacher Man” is a fun, up-tempo groove, featuring T.J. Evans. This incredible song simply says: Hey preacher man, I’ll do my best to bring lost souls to Christ. Bring the Word and I’ll make sure it gets heard. I’ll get them to the church and you’ll meet them at the altar. “Better To Me” is a tender song of reflection on the Goodness of God. He has been better to me than I ever thought He could be. Jerry Pilgrim takes the first verse as a recitation. T.J. Evans delivers a stellar vocal on the second verse. Nathan Terry takes the lead on the up-tempo quartet style tune “Bound For The Land of Canaan.” This fun song looking forward to the splendor of Heaven is sure to be a hit for the group. “Color Blind” is a powerful song that encourages listeners to see through each other’s eyes. Let me know your heart and make it mine. Let the Love of God drown out the hate! T.J. Evans delivers this incredible lyric with conviction and soul. Ricky Capps takes the lead again on a fun yet thought provoking tune entitled “2nd Opinions.” This song simply says: It’s high time we start turning our attention to God and away from ourselves and the influences of this world. There is one throne and I am not on it! “Big God” is a fun, bouncy, tongue twister of a song that features Nathan Terry’s smooth baritone. It simply says: I serve an ever-present, all knowing, almighty, big God who never fails. Jerry Pilgrim takes the lead on the powerful ballad “Bless My Enemies.” This prayer in song says: Be merciful to those who wish me harm as you have been so merciful to me. Remind me everyday that as those who have been forgiven, we must also forgive. May this Love I’ve found in You be a Love that loves them too. Bless my enemies. This incredible album closes with a rousing live performance of “Gonna Be Moving.” This soulful tune features Nathan Terry, T.J. Evans, and the legendary Russ Taff on the reprise. This fun song simply says: I’m gonna be moving one of these days! Troubles and cares are never gonna find me when I leave this world behind me one of these days!
