BREAKDOWN:
Forever. This term is defined as: for a limitless time or for all time. A powerful synonym for this is eternity. For those who believe in Jesus, forever is not just a flippant term used in day-to-day life. It is something to look forward to and a promise. Despite our failings and unworthiness, Christ extends His Grace and Mercy to us and invites us to live with Him in Heaven forever! Tribute Quartet shares this message through ten incredible songs on this exciting new album. Produced by Wayne Haun, Forever is sure to be a blessing to all who listen.
This stellar album opens with the fun title track that simply reminds us that God is with us everywhere we go. He will never leave us. Gus Gaches takes the lead on the powerful mid-tempo track “Last One Worthy.” This song is a moving reminder that Christ willingly died for us even though we are unworthy. I’m the last one worthy and the first one grateful. I know who I am without grace. “Grace When I Fall” is a tender track, featuring Josh Singletary, that tells of Jesus’ neverending Mercy and Grace. Gus Gaches takes the lead again on the powerful ballad “Heaven.” This incredible song longs for Heaven and living each day with our hearts and minds set on things above. “It’s Time To Sing” is a fun, uptempo tune featuring Ian Owens that encourages listeners to praise Christ no matter the circumstance. Lift your voices. If you have breath to breath, it’s time to sing! Gary Casto is featured on the tender and moving mid-tempo ballad “Somebody Who Prays.” This powerful song simply says: I want to be somebody who prays. Some are called to preach, some are called to take the message around the world. We are all called to pray. “And Then” is an epic song co-written by Josh Singletary that proclaims: God can do the impossible. Just when it seems all hope is lost, God comes through again! “Unbreak The Heart” is another deeply moving ballad featuring Gary Casto. This powerful song reminds us that God can heal and is watching over us always. He can undo the wrong, break the chains, and heal every wound. Ian Owens takes the lead on “It Was Him,” a beautiful song that reminds us that Jesus paid it all. Worthy is the Lamb for sinners slain! The Great I Am is the answer! This is, in my opinion, one of Ian Owen’s best vocal performances to date. This incredible album closes with one of few uptempo tunes “It Could Have Been A Mountain.” This fun tune simply says: God can bring you through. It could have been a mountain they used to seal the tomb. It still would have rolled away!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Tribute Quartet delivers yet another stellar recording featuring incredible songs of hope and faith. This album is a brilliant showcase not only of this group’s God given talent vocally, but of their incredible hearts for the Lord. I was deeply moved by this record and consider it one of their best to date.
Highlights include: “It Was Him,” “Heaven,” “Grace When I Fall,” and “And Then.”
5 out of 5 stars!
