Mark Bishop is back with a special compilation featuring songs of family and raising children and grandchildren. Inspired by the birth of his first grandchild, he wrote the title track. This sweet song simply says: another chamber opens up in your heart with a whole new love when you have grandkids. “Grow Up Baby, Good And Strong” is a beautiful song originally released on his first solo project in 2002. “The Refrigerator Door,” which originally appeared on 2018’s A Different Light, is another meditation on family and the struggles of a solo parent. “Sometimes God Whispers” is a more up-tempo tune that simply reminds us that God is everywhere. He loves us and He cares. His fingerprints are everywhere on creation. This great song originally appeared on 2015’s Mark Bishop & Forget The Sea. From 2003’s The Song In My Heart, “I Remember Her Well” tells of a father reminiscing on their daughter’s childhood as they celebrate her marriage. This special collection closes with a previously unreleased track “Lightning Bug, Lightning Bug.” This sweet song reminds us to let the light of Christ shine through us. When you hide your light, you are harder to find.
