Nothing Occurs To God features eleven songs of hope and faith all done in the signature Unity 4 way! The vocal lineup once again features baritone JC Johnson Jr, lead Casey Johnson, tenor Heath Pannell, and bass Reggie Furtick.
This stellar album opens with a fresh take on the classic quartet tune “Great Day.” When you are down and out, lift up your head and shout. There’s going to be a great day! The jazzy title track, from the pen of JC Johnson Jr., reminds us that God has everything under control. Nothing occurs to Him. Put your trust in Him and He will take care of you. Casey Johnson shines on the verses while Reggie Furtick hits an impressive low note on the ending. The group’s stellar harmonies are on full display on the classic “What A Meeting In The Air.” This timeless song of joy for Heaven is given a fantastic treatment here. “When The Lord Goes Before You” is another exciting new song, featuring Casey Johnson, that reminds us that when the Lord goes before you, Satan lags behind! Keep your eyes on Jesus! “He Still Owns The Fire” is a fun, up-tempo quartet style tune that reminds us that God is with us through every trial. Just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Jesus is the fourth man in the fire for us! Heath Pannell and Reggie Furtick shine on their respective parts on the classic “Happy To Say.” This traditional style quartet tune simply says: I am happy to say that God is with me today! Glory fills my soul and Heaven is my goal! He is leading the way since He came in my heart to say. This arrangement reminded me of another classic: “Over The Moon.” “I’m Gonna Be Ready” is a fun, upbeat quartet tune that simply says: I am going to be ready when He comes to take us home. This song is sure to be a hit for the group. If I didn’t know it was written by Casey Johnson, I would have thought it was a classic. The group delivers an incredible rendition of the classic “I Can’t Stand Up Alone.” Heath Pannell and Reggie Furtick reach into the rafters and the basement respectively with their parts on this fun tune that simply says: I can’t stand up without God! “If You Wanna Live Forever” is the first radio single from the project and is a call to salvation. Each member shines on this catchy mid-tempo quartet tune written by JC Johnson Jr. “There Will Be Peace” is a jazzy tune that features Casey and simply says: there will be peace waiting for us in Heaven. This incredible album closes with a powerful acapella rendition of “America The Beautiful” arranged by producer Arthur Rice.
