BREAKDOWN:

“You deserve more than a hollow hallelujah.”

Our Savior deserves our whole hearts and not just lip service. We must be careful not to just go through the motions. We must not let ourselves become bogged down with the issues of this world so much so that we lose focus on Him. We live in troubled times and we need to be reminded of the never failing Goodness of God. He is worthy of our deepest praise. This incredible new album from the Isaacs features twelve of the most beloved and important praise and worship songs of our time.

I must admit that as I write this, I am finding it difficult to properly review this album. I was deeply moved and affected by this incredible album. Each song was masterfully crafted and ushered me into a beautiful  and emotional time of worship. This has been a difficult year for me and my family. My mom has been experiencing health issues and I have been struggling at work. In addition, there have been other unspoken burdens throughout the year as well. This album helped me a great deal to refocus on the Savior as He is always in control.

Sonya Isaacs Yeary takes the lead on the beautiful opener “Gratitude,” which simply says: How could I express my gratitude? I will praise you again and again. All I have is a hallelujah! Becky Isaacs Bowman delivers the moving and thoughtful “Blessings.” This powerful ballad asks: what if our trials in this life are His Mercies in disguise. What if Your Healing comes through tears? What if Your Blessings come through raindrops? What if a thousand sleepless nights is what it takes to know You’re near? The title track, written by The Isaacs, boldly asks God to forgive us. With all that I am, I am reaching out to you. You are glorious and deserve more than just empty praise! Lily Isaacs leads the harmonies of the beautiful “Alpha And Omega/Agnus Dei Medley.” This medley is just a simple offering of praise to our Lord. You are worthy to be praised. Ben Isaacs takes the lead on a stellar rendition of “What A Beautiful Name.” This is a familiar song to me as we sang it in chapel throughout both high school and college. Sonya takes the lead again on the Lauren Daigle hit “You Say,” which reminds us that He Loves us. We are His. I believe what You say of me. In Him, we find our identity. Becky takes the lead on another popular worship song “Oceans (Where Feet My Fail).” This was also a standard at chapel for me. This version of this powerful anthem is the best I have ever heard. Sonya takes the lead again on a song that has come to be an anthem for my family. “Goodness of God” is an incredible song that truly affects me every time I listen to it. I had always enjoyed the song, but after hearing Triumphant sing it live at the Great Western Fan Festival earlier this year, I have truly taken it to heart. It has also become my mom’s favorite song and it has helped her through her health struggles. The Isaacs deliver a simply stellar version here. Ben takes the lead again on the powerful anthem “Reckless Love,” which praises Christ for His never ending Love for us. Becky is featured on “Psalm 23 (I Am Not Alone),” another powerful song that reminds us that God will never forsake us. He is always with us. Lily is featured on the beautiful “King Of Glory.” This simple yet powerful melody asks the King of Glory to fill this place. The world will bow down and say You are God. You are King. Let’s start right now. We can praise You now! This incredible album closes with “Forever,” another powerful anthem that simply says: We will praise Christ Jesus forever for He is worthy of it all! His Perfect Love could not be overcome. Death has been defeated! Forever He is Risen. He is ALIVE! Forever He is glorified and lifted high!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

THIS IS MY FAVORITE ALBUM OF THE YEAR! TRULY ANOINTED. INCREDIBLE VOCALS AND BEAUTIFUL AND DEEPLY MOVING SONGS FILLED WITH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. ONE OF THE GROUP’S FINEST RECORDINGS.

5 OUT OF 5 STARS!
