Rodney Griffin pens five of the ten tracks with Chris Allman writing two and Jon Epley contributing one. This lineup featuring lead Rodney Griffin, tenor Chris Allman, baritone Jon Epley, and Gerald Wolfe on piano continues to deliver.
This exciting album opens with a timely song entitled “News From Heaven.” This mid-tempo tune featuring Jon Epley’s rich baritone simply reminds us that God has everything under control. You may think that darkness has overcome the light. However, the news from Heaven is that God is still on His Throne! Everything will be alright! Chris Allman takes the lead on “I’ll Sing About The Blood,” a well crafted mid-tempo song that says: I can’t keep silent about Jesus saving my life! They will never keep me from sharing the Gospel of Jesus! “I’d Rather Hear Preachin’” is a fun, up-tempo tune that simply says: I’d rather hear the church lift up the Lord than anything else in this world. Jon Epley is featured again on the tender track “What I Love About Jesus.” This great song praises Christ for His Undying Love for us. What I love about Him is that He first Loved me. “The Love That Lifts Me” is a fun, mid-tempo tune that features Chris Allman and reminds us of the faithfulness of Christ. We are held in the cradle of His Arms. You prove You Love for us everyday! Rodney Griffin takes the lead on “If These Walls Could Talk,” which tells of the transforming power of Christ. We were cleansed by His Blood. Our sins were washed away never to be remembered again! “Surely The Presence” is a lushly orchestrated worshipful ballad that features Jon Epley and Chris Allman. “Because Of Who He Is” is a fun, up-tempo tune that simply says: He is the King of Kings, the Risen Lord and my Savior. I am thankful that I am not who I was because of who He is. Chris Allman takes the lead again on “Sow The Good Seed,” a tender mid-tempo song that reminds us to share the Gospel to all. Show the Love of Jesus to a dying world in need of forgiveness. This incredible album closes with the title tack which reminds us that we must be examples and share His Love in this world.
