THOUGHTS:

The Nelons is a legendary name in Southern Gospel Music. This beloved and talented family has blessed countless people with their music and led many souls to Christ. This undeniable legacy will live on forever. The release of this project entitled Loving You was in doubt following the tragic passing of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, their son-in-law Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges and the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa while en route to join a Gaither Cruise. However, Autumn Nelon Streetman, the surviving member, went ahead with the original planned release as a way to honor her family’s legacy. Jason, Kelly, and Amber were incredible people. This final project featuring their anointed vocals will be cherished.

This project is truly the group’s best work. It is not just a record; it is a tribute to their lifelong desire to spread the Gospel through music. Each song reminds listeners that Christ’s Love never fails. I cannot properly review this project or break the songs down as I usually do. I will, however, simply say this: This project deeply moved me. It reminded me that in the midst of tragedy and uncertainty, God is faithful and will never leave me. In addition, the group’s acapella version of “He Looked Beyond My Fault” is quite possibly the best version of the song that I have ever heard. They have always had a song and it will carry on even though they are gone

Thank you for the years of music, ministry, and artistry.

Lastly, I would encourage anyone who reads this to donate and help support Autumn Nelon Streetman, her family, The Kistlers, the Hodges Family, and the Haynie Family during this difficult time.

Please go to the Nelons website and order this album and other merchandise from their store to help as well.

5 out of 5 stars!
