THOUGHTS:

The Sounds Of Jericho are back with another exciting recording. This stellar quartet features Stephen Sigmon, Stacy Bragg, Matt Tyler, and Ken Thomas. Live For Him  is the group’s first project in four years. This exciting new album features a great mix of new and classic quartet songs.

The album opens with a sweet rendition of the classic hymn “In The Sweet By And By” which features Stacy Bragg’s smooth bass voice. “Move That Mountain” is another classic quartet tune that features Ken Thomas and Stacy Bragg. Stephen Sigmon is featured on the moving ballad “The One.” This powerful song tells of the prodigal’s return and the story of the ninety-nine sheep. I never understood why Christ would leave the ninety-nine until I was the one. “Old Man’s Rubble” is a fun, mid-tempo tune that reminds us to listen to the Father of Life! If you listen to Him, then you’re going to be clothed in power and light. The group does an incredible job with the Mosie Lister penned quartet standard “His Hand In Mine.” Stacy Bragg delivers a stellar vocal on the verse. Bragg is an underrated bass singer in my opinion. “I Believe I’ll Live For Him” is a fun quartet tune written by Don Reid and the late Harold Reid of the Statler Brothers. He died for me so I will live for Him! Stephen Sigmon is featured once again on the mid-tempo track “Washed In The Blood.” This Karen Gillespie penned tune proclaims: I’m saved! I’m forgiven! I’ve been set free! I’ve been washed in His Blood! Matt Tyler is featured on the powerful ballad “I Should Have Been Crucified.” This great anthem reminds us of Christ’s Sacrifice. He took our place on the Cross! It should have been us, but He loved us so much that He died for our sins! Ken Thomas is featured once again on the mid-tempo tune “What Good Would A Crown Be.” This Rodney Griffin penned song tells of God’s Glory. “In front of One who is Holy, what good would a crown be?” This stellar album closes with the groovy “Part Time Savior.” This fun tune, featuring Stacy Bragg, simply says: I don’t want to be a part-time Christian because Jesus is not a part-time Savior!

FINAL THOUGHTS:

SOUNDS OF JERICHO DELIVER YET ANOTHER STELLAR RECORDING. THIS GROUP IS UNDERRATED IN MY HUMBLE OPINION. GREAT VOCALS, SMOOTH HARMONIES, AND FANTASTIC SONGS! HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: “PART TIME SAVIOR,” “HIS HAND IN MINE,” “THE ONE,” “I BELIEVE I’LL LIVE FOR HIM,” AND “MOVE THAT MOUNTAIN.”

4.5 OUT OF 5 STARS!
