THOUGHTS:
Joseph Habedank is one of Southern Gospel Music’s premiere soloists. This Grammy nominated and Dove Award winning vocalist has garnered success as a songwriter and as baritone and later lead singer for the Perrys (2003-2013). He stepped down from the group to enter rehab for addiction to painkillers. Following his recovery, he launched a successful solo career. Now sober for a decade, Joseph Habedank delivers this deeply personal recording entitled autobiography. This incredible album tells his story of redemption. Each song represents a chapter in his life that ultimately leads to true change in Christ. This album is an incredible testimony. God uses broken people. I’m reminded of something that Mark Lowry once said: Broken pots spill more water. I truly believe this record will lead many people to the Lord. It will be a blessing to those who are hurting and think that they are too far gone.
This is one of the best albums of the year. Habedank’s vocals and heart are on full display from the powerful anthem “worthy” to the incredible and raw “the basement.” This powerful lyric says: “If you’ve never seen a miracle,/I can tell you where they meet/
I know at least a dozen and you know one now/’Cause you know me.” “Yeah, we all know what happens upstairs is amazing./But wait until you see what He’s been doing in the basement.”
FINAL THOUGHTS:
JOSEPH HABEDANK DELIVERS HIS POWERFUL TESTIMONY IN THE FORM OF THIS INCREDIBLE ALBUM. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: “TELL THE DEVIL,” “THE BASEMENT,” “JESUS WALKED IN,” AND “WORTHY.”
5 OUT 5 STARS!
