THOUGHTS:

The Apostolic Boys have a rich 20 plus year history in Gospel Music. Based in Texas, this energetic and exciting quartet features the vocal talents of Pastor Joel Pace on baritone, his son Jared Pace on lead, Troy Roach on bass, and former LeFevre Quartet and Old Paths (now Anthem Edition) tenor Jeremy Peace. This album was released last year and I did not have the opportunity to check it out then. This anointed group has a new fan in me!

This great album opens up with an energetic version of “When The Holy Ghost Shows Up.” The group gives this song a fresh treatment having previously recorded it over ten years ago. “Somebody Give God The Glory” is a more contemporary tune that features the captivating lead vocals of Jared Pace. “Where My Help Comes From” is a tender ballad that proclaims: My help comes from the Lord. When I have a need, I lift my eyes to the hills for that’s where my help comes from. Jeremy Peace’s signature tenor is featured on his testimony song called “Dancing On The Grave Of My Enemy.” This groovy, energy filled tune boldly proclaims our victory over sin and death thanks to Christ! Peace went through a harrowing health crisis last year and God brought him out! Praise God! Troy Roach’s smooth bass is featured on the soulful quartet spiritual “I Wanna Live Right.” This fun, groovy tune simply says: I want to live right in the sight of my Lord. I want to walk in the Light. The powerful anthem “The Mighty God In Christ” proclaims: Christ is the one true God! He is the I Am. This incredible song was written by and features Jared. “That’s What I’m Talking About” is an upbeat tune that features Joel and simply says: I’m talking about a God who makes all things work together for good. He can do more than we ever could. “The Second Time Around,” features Jeremy once again and powerfully proclaims: When Christ returns, He will come in all of His Glory! The second time around we won’t have to stay! He will take His children home! Troy Roach takes the lead on the worshipful “Whenever You Speak The Name.” This well crafted song reminds us that: whatever you are going through, call on His Name and He will lead you through. Whenever you speak His Name, walls fall and chains break! Amen! Joel is featured once again on the energy filled “Not Today Satan.” This is a highlight of this recording and is sure to be their signature song. This fantastic album closes with another high energy tune entitled “Jesus Will Work It Out.”

THIS IS TRULY A BREAKTHROUGH ALBUM FOR THIS STELLAR GROUP! I AM BLOWN AWAY BY THE GOD GIVEN TALENT ON DISPLAY HERE. GREAT SONGS, TOP NOTCH VOCALS, AND STELLAR PRODUCTION. HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: “JESUS WILL WORK IT OUT,” “I WANNA LIVE RIGHT,” “NOT TODAY SATAN,” “DANCING ON THE GRAVE OF MY ENEMY,” AND “WHENEVER YOU SPEAK THE NAME.” A TRULY UPLIFTING RECORDING!
